Medical Imaging¶
Medical imaging integrates image data and findings into a shared working environment. Standards-based workflows make relevant information easier to access in both clinical and research contexts.
Structured links between imaging and case data improve analysis and comparability. This supports diagnostics, longitudinal follow-up, and research-oriented evaluation.

DICOM and FHIR connectivity is described in detail under Interfaces. For AI-based image analysis, see Machine Learning.
PACS Integration¶
The platform supports integration with existing PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) infrastructure via standardised DICOM interfaces. Image data can be retrieved and referenced directly from the PACS and displayed in the context of clinical case data.
Findings can be captured in structured form and linked to the corresponding image series. Managing raw data and structured findings together creates a consistent foundation for clinical evaluations and research projects.
Supported DICOM capabilities include:
- Query and retrieval of image series (DICOM Query/Retrieve)
- Referencing of studies and series via UIDs
- Structured finding links to image data
- Export paths for research datasets with pseudonymisation
